  • Nice office. Can be stressful.Systems Analyst | Irving, TX

Pros: The office is modern, comfortable, and kept clean. My schedule is very flexible and I always feel like I can take a day off if I need one. There are also a few fun corporate events.
Cons: If you struggle with communication, the culture will magnify these issues. The environment is chaotic and everything feels urgent until you realize everything moves on regardless of who is escalating on whom. For me this has been a place of growth since I did not know what it took to stand up for yourself and continue my personal development in the professional world, but there are many stretches where it feels like your assignments are designed to make you fail and everyone is too busy with their own issues to really help each other.

Management already seems overly taxed already, but I think there is always a need for more knowledge sharing and team specific activities.

    Salary - C | Culture - C | Management - C | Coworkers - C

Pros: Rapid change is on-going. Rework is on-going.
Cons: Serious challenges and a real mix of very smart and unqualified people unfortunately as a result of the boom hiring. Loads of talented smart people but just as many who had no business being hired during the rush for headcount. A lot of deadweight from people who are exploiting the chaos to very intentionally do nothing. You have people that mgrs have been afraid to touch for any number of reasons who are very intentionally carving out permanent part-time schedules on full-time salaries and being very bold with their lies across multiple internal organizations. It makes it a challenge to people who do want to execute and fix things.

Stop relationship hiring. It's how Citi got here. Hires need to be seriously vetted to have the flexibility to learn quickly or have proven industry sme level knowledge. The right place as a mix of both. Unfortunately, a lot of deadweight is being carried who need to be jettisoned. Increase training for those who truly have capacity to learn and execute well.
