Pros: I worked at Dell from 2012-2023 (got laid off). It used to be a wonderful company to work for. I used to be so proud to state that I worked for Dell.
Cons: Dell has taken the human out of the job completly, and it's very clear you are just a number. They have lets 10s of thousands of people go, and now have changed their policy to full remote to full 5X a week in office.
Don't forget the good old days. Working at Dell used to be such a statement and accomplishment, now it's almost shameful.

Cons: Pay structure and RTO changes
Salary - B | Culture - D | Management - A | Coworkers - D
Pros: This is the second time I've worked for Dell Financial Services and it is certainly not the great place to work any longer. Made lots of great friends that I've known over the years.
Cons: Dell is cutting things to the bone, if I had to wager a guess they are getting ready to sell or merge with someone.
Give a better direction for the company other than using Ai buzzwords in EVERY company communication. (09/2024)

Pros: Was an EMC employee and as always "the culture wont change" but it did. Probably saved the company but lost a lot of passionate people.
Cons: WFH killed the culture of collaboration
Salary - B | Culture - C | Management - C | Coworkers - B
Pros: Dell has a world class procurement organization
Process and tools are fully developed
Cons: With multiple competing strategies across the organization prioritizing can be a balancing act and workloads csn be heavy
Understanding business cycles having additional support during high volume times would help prevent burnout and increase employee productivity and satisfaction.

Pros: Proper training structure, easy to onboard and keep up with materials. Expectations are outlined clearly
Cons: Hard for teams to get out of old school mentality and not open to change
Salary - C | Culture - C | Management - D | Coworkers - C
Pros: stability , benefits , 401k
Cons: not learning anything new , you get trapped in certain product
Salary - A | Culture - C | Management - A | Coworkers - D
Pros: I learned a lot about the IT manufacturing business and expanded my skill set. There are numerous social events to interact with other employees throughout the company both local and online.
Cons: I was told on a Monday morning that Thursday would be my last day due to "workforce reduction". The company works its employees hard including weekends and evenings. Even though you are told when you first start there that they encourage employees to move around within the company every 1 1/2 - 2 years, I was discouraged to do so by my supervisor. I told him during one of our 1x1 meetings that I'd like to find another role within the company to expand my skills and was "laid off" 2 weeks later. Very convenient. I know quite a few other co-workers that have been laid off from Dell.
Treat your employees like they are people, not numbers. I will never work for Dell again.
