Pros: The remote work while it lasted was good but now its mostly trying to get back in office and client site.
Cons: If you're on a low staffed team or a big engagement look out for long hours and multiple project deadlines lining up together. Management is not always transparent as layoffs happened and we were constantly reassured we our office was fine but then many of us were laid off in waves.

Pros: EY has some of the best people I’ve ever met. It’s true when people say they are only staying in the job for the people/connections. It makes it a gift to come to work every day. The people are incredibly supportive and welcoming. The benefits are pretty amazing too. $800 in commuting funds and $1000 in personal wellness funds. Plus the city of San Francisco has a separate health/wellness fund of 8,000/year that EY puts money into and sponsors. I’m grateful for the stability this job brings while the job market is so unpredictable right now.
Cons: Obviously the main con is work/life balance, but I have seen a huge shift recently for people pushing for more well-deserved time off. I think the main problem here is that people are burning out. The Bay Area specifically has some of the largest tech clients and the business environment here can be very fast paced and intense. We see people quitting the firm all the time, which means our teams are constantly changing and being replaced with new people who have no idea what’s going on, therefore we can never seem to just get into a groove of things. This job would be 10x easier if we had one consistent team from beginning to end, but we never seem to get that. But like I said, it seems like the firm has noticed the burn out and so they’re pushing EXTRA hard for people to take off more time than they need so that they can fully recuperate after busy times. The amount of vacations we get is pretty insane! I know many people who take off for a month at a time.
