  • Comfortable Job Until It's Not Product Designer | New York, NY

    Salary - B | Culture - D | Management - | Coworkers - C

Pros: The workload varies depending on the team, but I never found it to be overly fast-paced or high-pressure. People were respectful if you took vacation time and would not bother you outside of work hours. I enjoyed working with my colleagues, but the team started to feel disconnected and the company culture diminished after the moving to remote work during COVID.
Cons: In my later years working there there were constantly layoffs and I felt like they were not managed very well. Eventually, I was laid off along with many of my team members. It felt as though Oracle prioritized its bottom line over its employees, which made it challenging to stay motivated, especially since the layoffs seemed unrelated to job performance. It also felt unclear how to get promoted and advance within the company and it seemed like our work, progress toward individual performance goals, and professional development were not given much attention.

  • Great Entry-level RoleSales Development Representative (SDR) | Austin, TX

Pros: Great training program right out of college, or a few years out of college. Oracle eases you into corporate America with a cohort of people that are around your same age. I love the relationships I've made at Oracle and that is definitely the highlight of this role. The work is easy. LinkedIn, Emails, Cold calls and Meetings. The base pay and bonuses are worth the amount of work we do. Incentives (WFH, Day off) for hitting your number keep me going.
Cons: Things in sales can get boring. But, so can any job. In this role you meet your quota for the quarter and restart for the next quarter. That personally effects me at the beginning of every quarter, being back at zero. If you have a passion for sales then this is for you. If you don't, this can just be a job for a year to get your foot in the door of corporate America.

Pros: Great benefits, can work there forever

    Salary - C | Culture - A | Management - A | Coworkers - C

Pros: The pay is okay and if you are a Functional consultant the work is easy. If you are ACS or advanced customer support it is the complete opposite
Cons: Not easy to move to other roles internally Managers do not care for you You don't get to choose if you are ACS or Functional Consultant You have to wait a year for your first promotion Any mistakes from management that screw you over will not be fixed. You have to deal with it If you work with ACS out of USA or Canada they are not as well trained and it makes customers unhappy

Stop hiring outside of Canada and USA Pay more Help teams grow by providing courses that help them move to other roles Let them pick ACS or functional consulting

  • Came from the Cerner acquisition, it still often feels like Cerner 2 years laterSenior Technical Architect | Saint Cloud, MN

    Salary - B | Culture - C | Management - A | Coworkers - B

Pros: Remote work! Oracle is not pushing return to office. Work-life balance is great here. I also got a bonus for the first time ever, despite my job being easier now than it was under Cerner. Things feel very stable here
Cons: A lot of Cerner’s old culture persists within Oracle Health (I can’t speak for the other divisions). It took 2 years to get a raise after the acquisition. Also, despite being an architect, most truly architectural decisions are still being made by an upper echelon of higher architects and managers. Post-acquisition, I was paid overtime for a while, but they took it away after a title change

Town halls start too early, in my opinion. Also, let’s bring pager pay to everyone who is on call. It makes being paged overnight a bit more bearable
