Pros: I was paid on time.
Cons: Working at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was the worst experience of my professional life. Leadership is shockingly toxic and even bigoted—astonishingly, I witnessed leaders make derogatory remarks about Indians, and they themselves were Indian. As a woman, I was treated like I was worthless. Their work culture, which is heavily influenced by their Indian roots, does not align with American values of respect, inclusion, and transparency.
Leadership lies both to employees and to clients. They will say anything to win business, regardless of their ability to deliver on promises. Once they win a client, they often fail to meet expectations, leaving employees to deal with the fallout.
If you value professionalism, ethical behavior, and respect, avoid this company. Their inability to adapt culturally and operationally to American standards makes them a nightmare to work for.
Take a hard look at your toxic culture. Stop treating employees, especially women, as disposable. Address the bigotry and internalized bias in your leadership and implement proper training for cultural sensitivity and ethical behavior. Be honest with your clients instead of overpromising and underdelivering—it’s hurting both your employees and your reputation.

Pros: Awesome people (for the most part, but others have had an entirely different experience than me). I loved the people I worked with.
Cons: The culture can be cut throat, but fortunately, I didn't experience that. The corporate support and technology was absolutely atrocious. I've never seen such incompetence and unwillingness to work hard to find a solution in the IT support department. Additionally, you had order your own software upon employment and it took a month to be able to efficiently work on anything. I actually cried, I was so frustrated.
Fix the internal mess and make sure to use design thinking for your employees internal systems.

Good working culture
Cons: Salary is less than industry
No words .. No comments here

Pros: Reliable paycheck; great pay in relation to service IT roles, bad pay in relation to product IT roles.
Work life balance is great if you get a good client
Tons of resources available to learn new skills for free
They will pay for certifications if they are relevant to current role
Tons of different industries to work in
Basically good first gig out of university to get your feet under you, earn some certs, and figure out what you want to do for the longer term. It's a good gig if you're currently unemployed and need a reliable paycheck ASAP.
Cons: If they can't find you a client you have to move to new client location or be terminated; relocation bonus is not enough to cover (they give you about $2000 depending on how far/COL)
There is NO personal career development from their end; performance review results are seemingly random (this is what your yearly raise is based on). You may have 5 stars on every individual attribute but be given a 2/5 overall, leading to a poor raise.
There are many poor clients with poor teams, if you get put on one of these accounts your best bet is to ask to be released and try again.
You can be released from client at any time and have to move cities/states for a new one
Not a good gig for someone looking to immediately advance their career. Not good for someone looking for a "forever home"

Pros: You learn team collaboration as being part of of huge projects.
Cons: Less technical. It's good to get exposure from end clients you are working for.
More training to new comers.

Pros: Worked with some great colleagues
Cons: The employee apps were barely functioning, making it difficult to get work done efficiently or stay connected with the team.
The office space was cramped and loud, which made it challenging to focus or collaborate effectively.
After four years of employment, I was moved to RMG with no notice, then cut off from my manager and coworkers. Just three weeks later, I was let go without any clear communication or explanation.
During the wave of bench layoffs, several coworkers were also let go. Management didn't inform our managers or teams about what was happening, and there was no transparency about the layoffs.
I was hired as a remote employee, but later required to return to the office full-time, resulting in a grueling 3-hour daily commute that significantly impacted my work-life balance.

Pros: Offers a rewarding work environment grounded in strong core values like integrity, client focus, and inclusive. Employees benefit from a comprehensive package that includes health and wellness programs, financial perks, and career development opportunities through mentorship, training, and tuition reimbursement. The firm promotes a diverse, inclusive culture and encourages community involvement with volunteer opportunities and charitable initiatives. With its commitment to professional growth, well-being, and social responsibility
Cons: provides a dynamic and rewarding work environment, the high-performance culture means that roles can be demanding, requiring resilience and a strong commitment to excellence. Fast-paced work and high standards drive personal growth and learning, yet they may also lead to longer hours during peak periods, fostering a deep sense of dedication and adaptability.
