Very flexible hours, if you're a student, a parent, or even employed by other jobs, there's a schedule for you! Most clerks end up transferring to other store locations and getting promoted is encouraged and common. In my experience the more shifts you pick up, the better connected you are to all sorts of managers and job options. Its rare that there is a manager that is hard to work with, I must of had dozens of different managers over the 5 years i worked there and really only had trouble connecting with 1 or 2
Depending on the store location and time you are scheduled for, often there are customers under the influence and can be difficult to work with. Being a gas station there are also multiple petty thefts, but they have started upping the security from what I've seen. The work load can be over bearing if you dont get a hang of the routine, you are expected to fast and efficient at all times, and if you change stores often that may prove difficult for some
I have no real advice for management, most every manager i had was earnest and checked in often to see if anyone needed help or would give advice when ever asked.

Salary - C | Culture - D | Management - C | Coworkers - F
Pros: A weekly paycheck that is paid every week. (Required at least 5 words)
Cons: Very few on the maintenance side move up as external hires.
They promote from within. Meaning they promote those who are usually store side who are not familiar with repairs or maintenance. The blind leading the blind.
It all changed when the old man (founding father) passed away in 2013. Has gotten worse each and every year. Without question.
Hire those who are qualified for the job.
Stop hiring store managers for corp maintenance positions.
Do the right thing. Be the best. Never be satisfied.
