Pay is good for drivers and decent for management. Though with salary comes the working management 10-15 hours a day sometimes. There is an annual bonus for full time management but during cost savings expect lower management to get half but upper management will still get theirs.
Typically complete chaos for management. Planning from corporate levels are always off on what packages will arrive and how many drivers you will need to deliver them which typically results in drivers working 13 hours and management having to figure out how to get everything delivered. The company typically functions on "just enough" resources. Barely enough drivers, barely enough trucks in order to cost save. Cost saving to the company means making driver and management work longer hours and refusing to staff more drivers. There is serious micromanagement. Division managers think they are the only ones who can make things work correctly. At center level management you are not trusted to make any significant decisions. Money is the push and anything, everything and everyone will be sacrificed to that end. Plenty of mismanagement at the higher levels and you will be expected to "make it work."
If you're looking for a career where you can make a difference or a feeling of purpose, this is not where to look. There are a lot of managers but very few leaders in this company. If you just want a good paycheck and are ok with wanting to pull your hair out nearly every day, this career is for you.
